ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PURCHASE FIELD – 6 YEARS
Responsible for monitoring the DRM (1,2&3) and (Monthly review based on PDCA)
Purchase and sourcing of RM (SS and MS coil sheet metals) and child parts. .
Sourcing from Imports, such as China, France, UK, & USA.
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Create and issue routine purchase orders, track purchases and shipments (including international), and provide estimated dates as requested.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
Develops, manages and controls the Purchasing department budget, relative to capital, expenses and headcount targets
Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality and compliance. Measure against KPI criteria if these exist
Utilize appropriate resources including Supplier Development to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products
Building and maintaining good relationships with commodity suppliers and distributors.
Studying market trends and identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring commodities.
Tracking of the key department metrics, including sourcing, value analysis, tooling cost, savings, inventory, transportation cost.
Handle shipment notification (pre-alert) and tracking the consignment and updating the related documents.
Responsible for releasing the MRP schedule for suppliers through SAP.
Co-ordination for delivery with vendors and freight forwarders.
Participated in the reviewing of material shortages, monitoring and expediting of items.
