Gas Power generation Turbines Commissioning and testing, Performing various tests on pipe lines and Vessels, Tanks, Reactors Furnaces, Pumps, and Cooling fans such as,
Gyration: Whereby the rotating equipment (Pump, Cooling fan, Compressor) is rapidly started and stopped, to check if it is rotating to the correct direction.
Flange leak test: Whereby two pipelines are joined and gasket fitted, the pipeline is blocked at both ends and is pressurized to approximately the pressure under which the pipeline is operating and a Buffer tape is applied around the joint to seal it and apply a liquid soap to check for any bubbles.
Level Instrument test: This is when the deviance between the Electronic DCS transmitter is is more than 30%, Transmitter control is put on override, and both isolation valves of the transmitter are blocked. Leaving only the manual level gauge glass and the liquid in the transmitter is drained completely, flushed with the same product, and then commissioned back in service to achieve 50% level. The same procedure is repeated on the Manual level gauge glass until the under 5% of level deviance is achieved.
