I am looking to work in a lab/doctors office/ medical office setting as a Medical assistant, Phlebotomist/ Clinical laboratory assistant. I completed the Phlebotomy certification program at Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College on December 17, 2010. I currently work for Appalachian Development in Maryville TN, as a medical assistant. My previous position was at Asheville Internal Medicine, in Asheville, North Carolina. At both of these positions my job description included; scheduling appointments, registering and rooming patients, collecting patient vital signs, medical history and information, taking blood samples and other specimen samples in a safe, sanitary manner for diagnostic testing, giving injections and other clinical duties. I also ensured the cleanliness, sanitation of all facilities, draw rooms and equipment. I was in charge of ordering supplies and keeping records of patient volume. I am also interested in a possible position in a medical office as an assistant, or front desk/ receptionist position. I am enthusiastic, responsible, and honest. I am able to work efficiently and carefully. Capable of multitasking, problem solving, and have exceptional organizational skills. I can remain calm under pressure, and I pick up skills quickly and apply them successfully, through both the use of initiative and the ability to comprehend instructions. I am able to work proficiently on my own, but also enjoy and value teamwork.
