Reviewing the Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Record (QR) in accordance with project specific requirements and Client job Specifications.

Review of material certificates/batch certificates to check compliance with project specifications, expiry dates and meeting the required mechanical/physical/chemical composition values.

Witnessing welders qualifying test and qualifying welder according to ASME section IX requirement.

Verifying the welding consumables against ASME Section II part C and the approved WPS.

Witnessing mechanical testing activity for procedure qualification record third party and approving procedure qualification record according to ASME Section IX.

Conducting of toolbox meetings as scheduled.

Visual testing of welded joints according to applicable codes and standards.

In-process welding surveillance during welding to verify compliance with specified procedure including any preheat, inter-pass temperature control and post heat requirements.

Periodical auditing of welding consumable storage and issuance log to ensure conformance as a part of continuous improvement.

Periodically monitoring and controlling the performance of welders by sampling method as per ASME B 31.3.

Selection of joints for NDT as per the project specific requirement and to ensure sampling percentages are within the required range. Also maintaining and controlling the log.

Checking pre-heating and post-heating of high thickness joint by ensuring the minimum number of thermocouples are used according to specification.

Interpreting PWHT charts for its rate of cooling, heating and soaking period are met according to the approved WPS.

Witnessing of Hardness test and reviewing the reports according to specification.

Taking appropriate measures while observing any violation to the project specific standards and written procedures by generating a log book and issuance of NCR for major violation.

Evaluation of discontinuities for different type of metals and weld joints by RT, UT, MT, PT, PWHT, HT, Testing (Hydro, Pneumatic), Weld repair etc…

Reviewing of daily welding inspection reports and selecting joints for NDT per project specification.

Reviewing of weld history sheet with as built condition prior to release for pressure testing of line or system as required.
