* Analyse purchase request and determine the appropriate method of procurement
* Collaborate with department, vendors and technical experts in preparing specification for quotations.
* Conduct an in-depth analysis of all bids received in response to each RFQ to identify the response that best meets the needs of the users department.
* Prepare contracts/LPO with vendor and maintain contract after award.
* Monitor contracts/LPOs and vendor performances to implement corrective measures when required.
* Perform audits of procurement processes to identify problem areas and/or high usage commodities.
