Position: Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Technical Responsibilities.

•Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment, Plant, Machinery and Facility.

•Responding to the breakdowns within the plant, maximising production output and ensuring the smooth flow of the operation.

•Perform mechanical work e.g., conveyor bearing and chain replacement, major equipment overhaul, motor/ gearbox replacement, valve and pressure pump maintenance, and lube routes, door switch and door springs, magnetic float switch, water pressure reducer, drive chain, Flow meter, bearing, pneumatic valves, steam trap, flow meter, along with complete understanding of PLCs,SCADA and HMI.

•Analyzes mechanical, faults on assigned equipment, plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary repairs and adjustments to maximum production efficiency and quality .Test equipment operation after repairs or installations is completed and notifies necessary persons of equipment operational status.

•Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirement; Complete assigned work efficiently and as per standard operating procedure (SOP”s)

•Looking after all aspects of cost, efficiency, quality and maintenance activities including administration.

To work as part of the technical team throughout the shift ensuring work is prioritized in accordance with production plans, schedules and engineering requirements and carry out a comprehensive handover. .

•Liaising with the Maintenance Co-ordinator to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained within budgetary constraints.

•Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on (ENVAC)automated waste collection system (AWC)tray waste inlet, vacuumed waste system, waste separator, buffer carousel, billing machine, waste compactor, screw feeder with waste inlet

•Installed testing and alignment of the mechanical assemble of the system, hydraulic pump, discharge valves, pressure switch, solenoid valves, gearbox, discharge valves cylinder, packing gland, hatch, shaft flange bearing on the automated waste collection along with complete understanding of (PLC) programmable logic controller) (SCADA)

•To undertake Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and minor Tiling, painting and decorating work at a basic level, as necessary to maintain safe and efficient system within the facility.

•Work as per hygiene standards, compliance of hygiene work permit & hot work permit wherever applicable.

•Make sure that all daily breakdown work order tasks / assignments is carried out in a timely manner by using necessary (PPE) and as per the safety norms.
