Station: CHEGUTU RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL
Responsibilities:
Preparing and processing requisitions, sourcing quotations and purchase orders for Council
Administering all tendering activities of Council
Taking a leading role in the preparation and implementation of the procurement plan for the Municipality in liaison with user departments
Giving advice and expertise on all procurements to the Council Procurement Management Unit
Advising the Accounting Officer on all procurement issues
Preparation and compilation of final procurement reports for approval by the Accounting Officer
Preparation of bidding documents
Supervision of the evaluation committees
Market research and analysis
Creating, updating and maintaining the suppliers list for the Municipality
Preparing comparative schedules for goods and services to be procured
Ensuring that stock levels of existing materials and spares are maintained
Controlling the procurement of all materials in accordance with Council procurement procedures and manuals
Ensure through market research that materials are purchased at the most economical prices commensurate with the quality required
Inspection and receiving goods from suppliers
