Nuclear Quality Inspector Training Manager

In charge of the qualification and training of nearly 400 indirect reports (Nuclear Quality Control Inspectors). This is accomplished via 12 direct reports that ensure the Nuclear Quality Assurance Inspectors are trained and qualified to the standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as well as standards set by the United States Navy (NAVSEA 4000 Manual). This is of the utmost importance as Newport News Shipbuilding is the only facility in the world qualified to build United States Navy Nuclear Aircraft Carriers at12.8B$ each, and only one of two facilities qualified to build United States Navy Nuclear Submarines at 2.8B$ each. Failure in the Nuclear Quality Control Inspection Division would prevent NNS from being able to deliver these massive projects. Charged with the complete oversight of all training modules pertaining to nuclear inspections; course curriculum, test bank, study guides, quizzes and Retention of Knowledge Exams. Directed a team of scientists and engineers in day-to-day operations for a $205M Proton Accelerator System, coaching and leading 13 direct reports. Established and executed all organizational and customer-focused goals, including 97% uptime or greater for primary customer Hampton University.
