Description:

Served as Project Site Engineer for the Rehabilitation of Old Makurdi Water Supply Scheme in Benue State under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources/World Bank National Urban Water Sector Reform Project. The project included rehabilitation works on the water supply scheme including the under listed activities:

Construction of a 24m long pontoon intake for raw water draft of approx. 20,000m3/day including reinforced concrete works, river embankment protection, pumps and pipework installation.

Rehabilitation of treatment plant components including clarifiers, pressure filters, chemical dosing, reinforced concrete reservoirs, drainage.

Repair of distribution network leakage repair and construction of extension pipelines in uPVC, HDPE and Ductile Iron pipes, fittings and valves. I reported to the Resident Engineer and was responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the construction works -setting out, ensuring construction in accordance with drawings and specification, monitoring material and works tests, design reviews, measuring works done and daily/weekly reporting.
