OBJECTIVE

Very outgoing, warm, and personable professional office administrator seeks a position as an administrative assistant where my passion for customer service, my degree in education, and my interpersonal skills can be used to benefit the company.

BACKGROUD SUMMARY

20 Year’s diversified educating experience in the corporate, classroom, and fitness settings. Proven expertise in instruction, project management, corporate training, sales, business development and public speaking. Particularly effective with organization and attention to details, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with diverse populations. Very comfortable speaking in small settings, large venues and on camera.

Accomplishments

● Originally an office receptionist for a growing staffing company, I was quickly promoted to Payroll Coordinator. My responsibilities included the following: processing unemployment claims, garnishments, employment verifications, worker’s compensation claims, etc. All of these required detailed record keeping, daily communication with the state unemployment office and handling time sensitive documents. I was promoted to compliance officer toward the end of my time at Millennium. This position required more detailed record keeping to complete a company-wide audit. I was in charge of running all E-Verify applications for every employee, which again required constant communication at the state level. With every promotion came more responsibilities and my attention to detail has always been an essential asset. I am also very efficient. If there is an easier, more productive way of completing a task, I will find it, discuss it with my team, then put the proper measures into place.

● Responsible for all training and workshops for teachers, media specialists, and administrators in key account states including Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma.

● Creating web-based training modules for sales team members and customers.

● Effectively incorporating many learning modalities (i.e., visual, audio, kinesthetic) into presentations.

● Teaching educators how to best use technology in the classroom.

● Utilizing videoconferencing and teleconferencing devices to deliver presentations and training.

● Curriculum Specialist for Pearson; critical role in the selling, implementation and data review phases in over 10 states.

● Working closely and communicating with sales team members in key territories

● Project Manager and Content Specialist for the MINDS Institute’s Oral History Project, a nonprofit project partnering with the Library of Congress and the Veterans History Project to collect and preserve the oral histories of our country’s war time veterans and civilians

● Elementary classroom teacher in grades one, three, five and six; mentor teacher to university students for two years, mentor teacher to first year teachers.

● Completed two marathons, placed high in my age group in CrossFitcompetitions

● Successfully managed the weight loss and fitness program at FitZonefor Women and helped many women achieve their health and wellness goals.
