•Responsibilities include: perform a variety of ultrasound exams in a fast paced environment, including: general ultrasounds: Abdominal, Gynecological (pelvic/Transabdominal and Transvaginal), OB (1st, 2nd, 3rd Trimester), small parts such as thyroid, scrotum and limited breast exams, vascular studies (lower and upper extremity venous and arterial Doppler, venous reflux studies, vein mappings, arterial Doppler, ABI, renal Doppler, liver Doppler, duplex carotid).
•Explain ultrasound procedures and exams to patients and answer their questions and also address any concerns
•Independently perform portable exams at patient’s bedside
•Perform STAT exams on a timely manner including ER and ICU patients
•Observe and care for patients throughout examinations to ensure their safety and comfort
•Coordinate work with physicians and other healthcare team members
