Responsibilities:

I’m currently managing the Logistics, Shipping and Inventory portfolio of mining tools and equipment’s for Reflex – Imdex Ltd across the West African sub-region.

Planning and coordinating Logistics processes to ensure consistent improvement on inbound / outbound of shipments in compliance with customs regimes and legal requirements.

Maximizing revenue and reducing operational costs by utilizing the Minerals Commission’s Tax exoneration incentives applicable to mining tools, equipment and supplies that statutorily falls under the mining list.

Also initiated the temporal export and import regime process through Customs to reduce the payment of import duties repeatedly on the same tools and equipment been moved in and out Ghana for rentals / use/repairs and returns.

Managing the sales and rental operation system by processing picking slips, delivery dockets and sales invoices and rental consumptions.

Coordinating requisition actions through to procurement and shipment delivery processes.

Coordinating the operational activities of our local and international freight forwarding agents, courier and delivery agents and suppliers and processing of service invoices.

Managing shipment log to keep track on rental tools and equipment due to be return from clients across the region.

Operations and Logistics Manager

November, 2017 – June, 2018

Responsibilities:

I planned and coordinated the importation of all the project supplies, advising on shipment routes and decisions on cost effective shipping lines and flights, making ready AWBs / bill of ladings, invoices and other necessary shipping documents and handing them over to our contracted local forwarding agent to prepare CCVRs prior to the actual arrival of shipments at the ports.

I coordinated with procurement section and finance to keep track with orders placed for shipment, tracking shipments for updates on current expected dates of arrivals at ports. I Coordinated the Customs Clearance process and delivery into our warehouse.

Managing a dedicated LPG fuel pump with an attendant and a station manager at the premises of our contracted OMC LPG supplier.

I manage and monitor inventory from the warehouse and generate update report on weekly bases

I coordinated and managed the deployment schedule for the operation team of Envirofit SmartGas Ghana on a Pilot Project for installations of a complete SmartGas package made of a cylinder, valve with a metering device and its accessories into 250 homes within Accra.

I coordinated the pre-qualification process of customers – end users, prior to scheduling of delivery to their homes

I confirmed and approved delivery schedules initiated by our customer care center via the CRM system, assigned respective tickets and deployed delivery teams to execute.

I planned routes, transportation and delivery strategies to suite schedules of our customers. Negotiating technical difficulties and liaising with the team for interventions

Ensuring health and safety standards for LPG delivery and handling are met in close collaboration with the LPG Field Officers, storage and warehouse team

Responsibilities:

I have been a team leader coordinating all inbound / out bound movements of US government / agencies shipments such as project cargo, supplies, vehicles, household effects, consumables, perishable shipments, medical supplies, relief and humanitarian supplies

I planned and moved an average of 720,000lbs shipment both inbound and outbound by ocean and about 55,000lbs by air annually and a combination of both by road to final delivery destination.

I plan and coordinate the survey and export pack out processes of house hold effects, consumables and personal vehicles for diplomats (expatriates)

I Prepared and processed tax exemptions through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and secures necessary shipping documents and paper works required to initiate customs clearance process.

I coordinated the customs clearance process of all inbound / outbound shipments through the ports with contracted freight forwarders.

Tracking purchased orders on ILMS – Transportation system to ensure materials ordered are shipped and delivered on schedule.

Liaised with procurement by verifying receipt items and resolving shipments in error with our hubs and shippers at designated locations.

Reconciling purchased orders to delivered goods with invoices from delivery agents and matching relating purchase orders to customs cleared charges for payment of invoices. Receiving notification from our Consolidation Receiving Points on purchased goods to initiate customs clearance process.

Tracking shipments and providing updates on ETAs for various purchased items to the requisition officers and respective customers.

I double as a protocol officer by providing expediting services at the airport for departing

/ arriving US government’s officials through checking process at the departure hall and through baggage, immigration and customs during arrivals.

I request for airport VIP / VVIP access through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for US government high ranking officials, ambassadors and high-level delegation visits and I handle such visitors through the arrival and departure process at the VIP lounge.
