Job Responsibility: -

Working as Fault management BSS RAN Engineer for Vodafoneidea network.

Troubleshooting of Nokia product BTS(Flexi,Flexi MR10), BSC(Flexi BSC,mcBSC), RNC(mcRNC) eNodeB(FDD,TDD,MIMO) rectify fault & remote support to field team for Hardware rectification.

Operation & maintenance of e-NodeB, SBTS &TDD/FDD,MIMO sites.

Health Check-up & Diagnosis of all unit of NOKIA BSC(Flexi BSC,mcBSC), RNC(mcRNC).

Analysing and troubleshooting & rectify fault BCF, BTS, TRX's and also call drop issues.

Supports end to end operations, coordinating with Technical Support Group (TSG) and OSS team for network related issues.

LTE eNodeB RAN commissioning, integration, configuration, SW upgrade, Upload SCF, online SCF Validation & Activate plan.

Site integration in OSS. Delectation & creation of Site/BTS/TRX.

Monitoring & Support SNOC on duties 24*7 for the O&M and perform alarm monitoring and troubleshooting for critical, major and minor alarms to meet SLA of Vodafone idea network. Escalate critical issues and coordinate with TX, IP & Field Team.

Alarm escalation and creating TT/CR to FOPS with SLA depends on outage priority.

Coordinate with TXN & IP teams to share RCA of running outage within SLA. Provide IP & TX details with ping & traceroute to IP & TX Team.

Resolves and closes incidents with proper RCA.

To act upon the Emergency, Critical outages effectively & reduce network outage to the maximum.

Prepares and submits CRs for change due to fault in Change Management (CHM) module to resolve incidents

Identifies and creates Problem tickets as input to Problem Management(PBM).

Preparing Reports WFM, Daily TT, Zero TBF/ND51, ZEQO, BL-TRX & ZEEL_BL and Quality Alarms.

Prepare cell outage analysis report on daily basis and circulate in all Network Engineers.

Coordinate with Field teams to resolve the critical &Emergency alarms on BSC,RNC.

Alarm reductions, Active alarm analysis have been done on daily basis.

Taking weekly Fallback & MO Backup of BSC & RNC and XML backup of SRAN sites.

Finding out complete RCA after coordinating with field team, if issue is related to infra then we resolve it from our end by consulting with infra manager, estate manager, energy manager, etc.

Reviewing the process of the work, if something is needed we recommend to implement.

NMS Rectification

NMS Rectification, Configuration and Alarm Testing.

Rectification, synchronization of Network Management System by coordinating with concerned field team. & alarm compliance on monthly basis ensuring all alarms generated at site properly.

Alarm Monitoring

Live passive alarm monitoring and escalation of 11 circles of India.

Monitoring and escalation of bulk outages of pan India. Maintaining reports, taking timely follow ups to find the RCA and flash SMS.

Escalating the alarms to the corresponding technicians, Field Support Engineers, and to higher authorities unless until it is getting cleared.

Maintaining data base of each alarms like LBV, Fire and Smoke, ESMA and Site Down, etc. individually.

Preparing outage reports on daily basis and reviewing the performance of each person in the escalation chain. Issuing Permit to Work no. to work at site.

Analyzing RCA in detail and mailing on daily basis.

OSS feed monitoring and if it goes down coordinating with NSN/Ericsson, IBM and AES team to find the Root Cause. Continuously taking follow ups to resolve as soon as possible.

Regularly tracking utilization of MPLS links and if it exceeds the permissible limits, then we escalate this to corresponding authorities so that they can increase the link BW ensuring no data overload or delay in getting alarms.
