Nov 2020 – Present Electrician Casa Bendita (Pvt) Ltd Casa Bendita (Pvt) Ltd is an indigenously owned company that has gold mining activities in Mazowe and Concession. While there I:

• Designed and Installed cables, lighting and underground power distribution for old and new shafts in line with legal safety and housekeeping standards.

• Reduced downtime by timeously executing repairs and maintenance on faulty generators, submissible pumps, compressors, motors, cranes and other electrical machinery.

• Diagnosed and resolved faults of the highly automated equipment for the Carbon in Pulp Gold Processing Plant.

• Assisted in programming of drives and PLCs.

• Maintained general electrics of an excavator, front loader and JCB mining vehicles.

• Mentored apprentices and assessed their readiness for trade tests. Nov 2015 – Oct 2020 Diesel Electrician National Railways of Zimbabwe National Railways of Zimbabwe is a state-owned company that operates the country’s national railway system. While there I:

• Inspected and documented faults to be rectified for incoming locomotives.

• Overhauled and repaired traction motors and generators up to 720kW/600v ensuring 100% supply rate to locomotives that needed replacement.

• Wired and connected electrical equipment inside the locomotives including circuit breakers, voltage regulators, pressure and heat sensors, lighting, electronic equipment, relays producing an efficiently running electrical system.

• Interpreted electrical blueprints and used these for troubleshooting and fault- finding purposes while attending breakdowns or during routine maintenance.

• Measured and tested the performance of electrical systems and delivered an average of 2 locomotives weekly to the national fleet at the same time maintaining zero returns for over four years.

• Led in the rebuilding of the thyristor-controlled excitation and variable speed drive system of the locomotive test house that has seen over 100 locomotives passing through to date.

• Supervised a team of 10 electricians and servicemen for a period of 5 months in the process improved motivation of subordinates, safety working procedures, service delivery, quality of work and housekeeping standards.

• Trained apprentices and skilled workers.
