Project MECH - Debit Master Card Project

Role Senior Developer
Description Mechanization system application(MECH) is a home-grown banking system designed to support the on-line banking operations of the Bank of Montreal (BMO). Mech System holds customer account information and has around six and half million Customer Account records. Mech application supports Retail & Commercial Banking and is noted for high performance and reliability with Peak processing speed of over 400 transactions/sec. Mech is one of the Bank's "CRITICAL" systems. Debit Mastercard is a new product offering for BMO customers. Debit Mastercard will offer a Debit Card with capabilities to process a variety of payment functions via MasterCard’s Worldwide network, thus allowing customer access to a broader merchant network (both Internationally and ecommerce). The goal of the project is to enhance the following functionalities.
BMO currently issues banking customers (Personal and Commercial) Debit Card which allows access to their accounts via the following avenues:
POS usage within Canada (via the Interac and Moneris networks).
POS usage internationally (via the Maestro network).
Online Debit / Interac Online Payment (IOP) (via the Interac)
Canadian ATM usage (proprietary via BMO network and non- proprietary via Interac network).
International ATM usage (via Cirrus network).

Project MECH - HOLD Transaction

Description The Project goal is to build HOLD transaction to Set up & Remove of Hold Funds information against any MECH deposit account. Any specification that deals with the debiting of an account will analyse the Hold Funds information in the determination of available funds. Any violation of the held funds will be advised in Accounts Overdrawn And Hold Funds Violated Report. To facilitate easy identification and/or removal of each "Hold", a system generated sequence number will be assigned to each Hold applied to the customer's account.
• The purpose of "Hold Funds" is to provide the facility to set up and remove hold funds information from a customer's deposit account. A Hold can be set up for a specified number of days or for an indefinite period. The Hold information may be removed at any time by a transaction entered through a terminal, or automatically by the system on a date which is specified at the time the Hold is lodged against the customer's record.
• Validations/ Check Process to setup or remove hold includes Validate Each field in Input Txn, Account Balance, NSF, Account Status, Authorized Branch and Location, No Matching Holds.

Description This project deals with Consumer Complaint analysis, which is a database generated by the source provider, that contains complaints received about financial products and services like Bank accounts or services, Consumer loans, Credit cards, Credit reporting, Debt collection, Money transfers, Mortgages, Private student loans, Payday loans, Other financial service (such as credit repair and debt settlement) to which the Bank has to responds within a specific period of time. Here we have to analyse this data and have to distribute that to the concern department for solution effectively.
