Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Here, I undertake the following key responsibilities:

●Assist with engineering calculations, design drawings, preliminary cost estimates and field visits/surveys to observe maintenance works progress at VIVO Energy, OLA Energy and TOTAL PLC oil depots/terminals.

●Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during job execution.

●Keeping records on equipment serviceability.

●Assist technicians to carry out various fabrications at the workshop.

●Provide assistance to all mechanical engineering, design and fabrication projects with an acute sense of team needs and flexibility to support different aspects of the design process.

●Materials and spare parts’ purchasing from different suppliers

From September 2021 to date: in addition to the above roles, I assumed a new role in the company as a site supervisor. I supervise a team of 8 individuals to carry out planned and corrective maintenance works at VIVO energy, Nairobi terminal.
