My responsibilities included to plan, develop, organize, direct, coordinate and superintend over the operations of the SHEQ as well as operations of the Analytical services.

Develop and effectively implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001:2007), and Environmental (ISO 14001:2004) (SHE) management systems and implement continual improvement programs of the systems.

Drive community programs and best practice in Safety, Health, and Environment.

My achievements were as follows

Designed implemented and integrated SHEQ Management system for Ndola Lime Company Limited.

Implemented ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and PAS 99:2006 (Certified by British Standards Institution).

Successfully carried out public/community and stakeholder involvement in the new cement project.(safety, health and environmental programs) as well social impact assessment.

My achievements were as follows;

Successfully implemented ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management system at ZAMEFA PLC (Phelps Dodge International Corporation Zambia) making it the first company in Zambia to have these certifications.

Coordinated and implemented a workplace HIV/AIDS and Malaria Prevention program.

Received the Phelps Dodge International Corporation James Douglas Health and safety Award for the contribution in the health, safety / well-being of the company and the community.

My responsibilities and achievements were as follows

Establish, implement and sustain Safety, Health and Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001:2004 and OHAS 18001 and as well as compliance to IFC Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.

Supervise drilling contractors.
