Responsible for tax planning such as VAT deferments, offsets and other tax agreements with ZRA.
Responsible for managing tax audits and improving tax cash inflows through VAT refunds.
Responsible for the application of ZRA mineral royalty tax clearance certificate for exports to China and South Africa.
Coordinates the application and acquiring of the mineral valuation certificates for mineral export permits at Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development through Geological Survey and Mining Cadastre Departments.
Ensures Fixed Asset register is correctly maintained for all mining machinery, equipment and other assets with the corresponding depreciation methods as prescribed in the accounting manual using the Fixed Asset module on Sage Evolution.
Responsible for tax computations, returns submission and tax remittances e.g. import taxes, PAYE, Mineral Royalty, WHT(Rent), provisional and final corporate tax, and VAT on or before deadlines.
Leads the development of financial plans, budgets and forecasts
Being the main liaison with external auditors, suppliers, financial institutions, tax clearing agents, Immigration consultants, consulting Geologists, Civil Engineers, Water Engineers and Mine Engineers and other consultants.
Ensures compliance with NAPSA, NHIMA and Workers Compensation Fund Control Board.
Ensures correct and accurate cashbooks and other ledgers are maintained, and monthly bank reconciliations on Sage Evolution
Submits audited financial statements as per required deadlines to statutory bodies and other government agencies.
Administers Payroll.
