WORK EXPERIENCE OCT, 2011-Present

Security Reaction Force Team –

Responsible for the security of 2 installations encompassing 1,868 acres and 30,000 staff members. Executed security requirements for 158 recruit graduation ceremonies, providing security for over 412,000 family members and over 120,000 recruits. Additionally provided security patrol and armed guard duties for over 400,000 guests during Naval Station Great Lakes July 4th celebrations.

Navy Security Force Sentry –

Provide Force Protection (FP). Antiterrorism (AT), Law Enforcement (LE) and Physical Security (PS) for safeguarding personnel, property, and material and enforcing rules and regulations at Navy installations, activities, and afloat/operational commands. Security measures that will deter, detect, delay, and defend against domestic or foreign terrorist attacks.

Aviation Ordnancemen –

Maintains and inspects airborne weapons and aviation ordnance (weapons) equipment, including aircraft guns, gun accessories, gun sights, small arms, ammunition, handling equipment, ammunition suspension, release launching, and arming equipment; stores and loads aviation ammunition, nuclear weapons, aerial mines, air launched torpedoes, and air-launched guided missiles; supervises the operation of aviation ordnance shops and storage facilities in squadrons, at air stations and aboard ships. Receives, inspects inventory, configures, tests, and maintains Airborne Weapon Support Equipment (AWSE), Ordnance handling Equipment (OHE) and materials handling equipment. Prepares gun ammunition for loading; assembles and disassembles airborne weapons; performs weapons maintenance; performs routine inspection of ordnance equipment; completes periodic maintenance data forms; issues standards for safety in ordnance maintenance; operates ground support equipment; maintains tool inventory; orders supplies and equipment. Serves as arming/dearming crew leader; supervises and coordinates crew loading of munitions aboard aircraft; maintains shop files, logs, and records; orders technical publications and manuals; performs periodic aircraft preloading inspections; weapons certification program, and explosive handling certification program.

Navy Boot Camp Instructor –

Deliver lectures and oral presentations; utilize techniques and methods of blended learning; present and facilitate case studies in a classroom environment; conduct computer based training; and employ a range of motivational techniques and encourage learning. Directs teaching/learning activities in schools, training centers and selected reserve units; and evaluates instructional materials and counsel students on academic learning problems.

Swimming and Water Survival –

As Chief on Deck, instructed and supervised over 160,000 recruits/staff on swimming and water survival to include breast, side, elementary back and American crawl strokes, survival floating, treading water, survival swimming, abandon ship procedures, auxiliary floatation devices, marine environment hazards, rescue techniques to include spinal injury, and CPR/First Aid. Conducts, organizes and manages classes and poolside classes. Also, train how to surface and submerge with burning oil; meet all requirements to be basic lifeguard certified; demonstrate knowledge of sea survival including type of naval life rafts and their current uses; and identify high-risk elements involved in water survival.

Security – Sentry, Reaction Force, Crowd Control, Take Downs, Completed OC Spray and Training. M-9 pistol, M-500 shotgun, and M-16/M-4. Also have exercise with .50 cal machine gun and .50 cal sniper rifle.

First Aid/Medical - Basic First Aid, O2 administrator, Blood Borne Pathogens, and CPR for Adults and Infants (on land and in water), and Spinal/neck Injury.
