EXPERIENCE

SERGANT•GRANT COUNTY DETENTION CENTER•NOVEMBER 2020-PRESENT

Daily duties include:

●Maintaining professional relations with all incoming agencies that arrive with arrestees or simple court paperwork

●Oversee the booking processes before the detainees are cleared for housing (proper paperwork completion, ensure that any money brought in with the detainee is accounted for and placed in their facility account for use during commissary and phone use, placed on any special management if required by facility standards or medical purpose.)

●Supervise all staff on duty to ensure that the facility needs are met from cleaning standards to security protocols.

●Sign out any detainees registered for work release or in facility work detail

●Enforce facility rules and regulations during my supervisor rounds. Removing and documenting any code violations and contraband.

●Receive, review, and complete court docket lists while communicating with outside agencies and counties. Prepping detainees for transports and overseeing the departure and return of said detainees.

●Communicate with administration about the day-to-day operations, requirements, and requests for the facility both detainees and officers alike.

●File work orders for all required repairs in or on the facility grounds

●Respond to incidents that occur throughout the facility and coordinate with officers to end disturbances.

DETENTION OFFICER 2ND IN COMMAND • GRANT COUNTY DETENTION CENTER • APRIL 2018 – NOVEMBER 2020

●Removing restraints, conducting pat downs, and clothing searches while completing the appropriate paperwork after doing so, review and sign the arresting agency’s paperwork before they depart the booking intake area, escort the detainees through the facility to the booking process area and perform a full uniform dress out. I am responsible for ensuring the paperwork is complete before having my supervisor finalize it and have the detainee placed in the appropriate cell. Once their sentences are served out, I am also responsible for the releasing of detainees which includes release paperwork, medical clearance, return of property and exit from the facility

●Serving meals where I must count the carts for the accurate trays and serve out the proper amount to the correct pods, making sure the special diet trays get to the right people.

●Provide hygiene, laundry cleaning, razors, and hair clippers.

●Provide the Legal Paperwork from the courts and lawyers.

●Transport to and from court hearings, doctor appointments

●Scheduling customers appointments for vehicle services.
