person Circulation team, I wore many hats including working with billing of customers, filling paper routes as necessary, marketing of the newspaper, oversight of newspaper racks and individuals "stuffing" advertisements, as
well as handling numerous customers/telephone calls and other tasks that came up. In the Composing Department, I created advertisements for customers, registered color for prepress readiness, and worked with customers and my team to create advertisements that conveyed the messages that the customer wanted.
I went to work for a satellite office where I took care of all of the advertisement and comparing needs for the five small weekly newspapers; manned the front office; managed the billing, accounts payable and receivable; assisted with advertising sales; prepared the press boards and ensured we met deadlines for press schedules.
Before leaving this company to work for Caterpillar, I was preparing to become a full-time Advertising Sales Agent after presenting management with the opportunities I had identified to close marketing gaps and increase profits.
