Work Experience

Senior Recruiter

ManpowerGroup - Pontiac, IL

September 2017 to July 2021

Providing recruiting solutions to clients, performing all functions start to finish (and everything in between). I am instrumental in mining new clients, retaining existing clients, and building up a large, viable base of associates to place into open positions. I also focus on training and upskilling the workforce in order to keep associates' skills current and trending toward the future. Sales Consultant

Trelevate - Bloomington, IL

January 2017 to March 2017

B2B sales of energy using a cookie cutter sales method. Section Manager III

Caterpillar Fuel Systems Inc - Pontiac, IL

April 2000 to September 2016

My job role consisted of leading, managing, and participating on Cost Savings, Quality Improvement, and Safety

Teams; and also working closely with our internal auditing group to ensure quality policy compliance. I both lead and consult for cross-functional teams to incorporate our lean strategy, eliminate wastes, and perpetuate continuous

improvement, through the use of 6 Sigma tools. I am also a key consultant for maintaining quality documentation throughout the shop and providing solutions which improve the efficiency of processes. I have a good, working

knowledge of ISO-9001 and TS16949. I have been certified as an internal auditor through Caterpillar. Previously my experience has also included supervising teams in the assembly and manufacturing spaces, as well as quality. I was key in the deployment of lean strategies and tools throughout the facility, and working closely with other

facilities within the organization to standardize processes and share best practices. In supervisory roles, I have

managed large teams of technicians acting as leader, coach, mentor, and analyst, successfully managing both people and financial aspects of our small business team within the overall facility, most importantly providing positive results.

My experience in the quality space has included working with internal quality and acting as liaison with cross- functional groups in order to improve outgoing quality of our product. Also I was assigned coordination of returned

materials for our facility as well as our facility in Thomasville, Georgia. In this role I worked closely with our customers, engineering group, and internal personnel to determine the best course of action through our Returned

Material Authorization process, keeping in mind the best interest of our facility, while protecting and maintaining

good relationships with customers. Previous to my management role I worked in Operations as a Quality Analyst, where I was responsible for analysis of nonconformities, as well as performing a variety of inspections and tests, both proactive and reactive, related to the production of our fuel systems products. Owner and CEO

Mid Illinois Shrimp Company - Pontiac, IL

April 2014 to May 2016

We started a saltwater shrimp farm, indoors, on our rural property. This aquaculture project was a colossal undertaking that required a lot of research and planning, as well as hard work. Shrimp were raised in pools of saltwater for consumption by the public. This required constant monitoring of the water conditions and maintaining feeding and cleaning schedules. Office Manager

Daily Leader - Pontiac, IL

June 1994 to April 2000

June 1994 - April 2000

I began as a typesetter in the newsroom briefly. I quickly worked up to Circulation Clerk. As the member of a 2

person Circulation team, I wore many hats including working with billing of customers, filling paper routes as necessary, marketing of the newspaper, oversight of newspaper racks and individuals "stuffing" advertisements, as

well as handling numerous customers/telephone calls and other tasks that came up. In the Composing Department, I created advertisements for customers, registered color for prepress readiness, and worked with customers and my team to create advertisements that conveyed the messages that the customer wanted.

I went to work for a satellite office where I took care of all of the advertisement and comparing needs for the five small weekly newspapers; manned the front office; managed the billing, accounts payable and receivable; assisted with advertising sales; prepared the press boards and ensured we met deadlines for press schedules.

Before leaving this company to work for Caterpillar, I was preparing to become a full-time Advertising Sales Agent after presenting management with the opportunities I had identified to close marketing gaps and increase profits.
