I hold a BTech in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. This has resulted in me gaining professional competency in operational and technical aspects associated with the electrical industry. I have developed strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure and challenging working environments, from my job profile at Afric Oil Petroleum. My responsibilities in the organization varied throughout the commissioning, maintaining, installation and testing of the Honeywell Fuel Management System. In addition, I have been responsible for the systems’ operation, maintenance and repairs associated with the project, ensuring the smooth running of the fuel depot. I have also gained an exposure to leading team members such that their competencies are in-line with the needs of the organization. I have functional knowledge of all electrical equipment associated with my job as an electrical technician/technologist, legislation, codes, and standards of practice, and have gained expertise in use of industry specific tools and applications, and a willingness to learn even more.
