Fluor, Security Technician IV, Jalalabad, Afghanistan

November 2017-Present

Work all ECPs at OB Fenty that Fluor was tasked with controlling. Ensure safe environment for Coalition forces and contractors by utilizing Biometric identification as only means of entry onto the OB. Using the BATs system all OCNs and LNs undergo an Iris scan to gain access onto OB Fenty. When necessary a dossier is created for all OCNs and LNs not in the BATs system. Biographical information along with Biometric is gathered from the Person being enrolled. Biometrics obtained includes photographs, Iris capture, fingerprints and DNA sample. Close interaction with Force Protection entities, CI, U.S. Military and Coalition forces is a daily occurrence. Consistently maintain professional and respectful interaction with all clients and co-workers.

Vectrus, Biometric Security Clerk, Bagram, Afghanistan

Worked various ECPs at Bagram Airfield Afghanistan gathering biometric information to allow access of local nationals and other country nationals onto the FOB. Worked with enrollments in the Bio Office where experience with the BAT system was attained through the placement of LNs and OCNs. Dossiers were created consisting of iris scans, fingerprints, photographs and other biographical information. Stored information was utilized for the entry and exit process of the FOB as well as the badge verification process. Work from Security Control at a Raytheon DOD contractor site. Monitor cameras that are located at various locations at the facility. Concentrating on all ECPs. Ensure timely response to Simplex Fire alarms by following protocols set in place by Raytheon. All important shift activities are logged into an Excel Journal. Triple Canopy, Armed Security Guard, Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan November 2013-January 2014

Worked as an Armed Guard at multiple ECPs and Towers at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. At NATO convoy ECP, all call signs, VIC counts and PAX counts would be confirmed with the JOC before departing or entering Camp Leatherneck. While manning towers constant vigilance was kept on AO by utilizing binoculars and NVGs at night. Towers were armed with 240B or 50 CAL. Constant radio contact was maintained with SOG and JOC. Needed to be Qualified on M-4, M-9 and 240B. Familiarization Fire with MK-19 and 50 CAL.

Protection Strategies Incorporated, BDOC RTO, Camp Taji, Iraq

Worked at the Taji BDOC as an RTO. Maintained detailed log entries of important FOB activities. Worked closely with BETTS-C and C-RAM personnel. Monitored ECP activities via multiple camera images and maintained communications via phone and radio. Informed FPO and base commander of emergencies such as Fires, security breaches and incoming rounds. Another of my responsibilities was the entering of GMRs(Ground Movement Requests) into the computer to await approval by the base commander. All Ground movement activities were logged. Departure times and return times of ground movement elements were accounted for and documented. I would also perform vehicle patrols of FOB Taji, checking ECPs and physically check camera equipment ensuring they were in working order or in need of repair.

ITT Exelis, Biometrics Security Clerk, Bagram, Afghanistan

October 2011-October 2012

Worked at all of the posts maintained by ITT Exelis at BAF. Duties consisted of obtaining iris scans, utilizing Piers Iris scanners, of all OCNs, TCNs and LNs wishing to gain entry onto Bagram Air Field. I was proficient in operating at all ECPs, PAX terminal and badging offices. I would create dossiers for all personnel not in the BAT system. This process included the gathering of Iris scans, fingerprints, photographs and pertinent information of those having a dossier created. All this information would then be input to the BAT’s system. I was also responsible for setting up FPSC appointments for personnel requiring the necessary screening before being able to be badged. Form 103’s were verified to have been filled out properly and containing of all vital information to ensure screeners had the most accurate and current information to utilize.

Navmar, Aerostat Flight Operator trainee, Yuma, Arizona February 2011-May 2011

Trained at the Yuma Proving Grounds facility to operate the PGSS. Training covered all aspects from the setting up of an Aerostat site, inflate and deflate. Operating the platform for launching and recovery of Aerostat. Learned how to utilize the MX-15 camera system and all monitoring capabilities while in GCS.

Supervised and trained 139 Ugandan guards, using power point and hands on training. Training included Weapons safety, weapons qualification, RUF and ROE. Guards worked armed static security and I was responsible for 139 weapons and their maintenance. I was responsible for the issuing of weapons and also the return of weapons to our armory. It was also my duty to post guards and also disciplining of guard force.

I was a member of the Camp Slayer Rapid Response Team. Responsibilities consisted of patrolling tower 1ines of VBC to include Camp Slayer, Camp Stryker, Camp Victory and Camp Liberty. Operated up armored F-250 with gun turret. Weapons used as a team member were: PKM, 9MM Glock, M-4. Worked closely with US Army BDOC of VBC. Responded to calls from ADOC. Calls included locating impact area of incoming projectiles, suspicious articles and disturbances. Worked with multi-national team to include, British, Australian, Ugandan team members. I had to ensure Ugandan members were proficient in usage, disassemble, and reassembly of all weapons used by our team.

I was a member of the Camp Slayer Rapid Response Team. Patrolled perimeter Tower Line of VBC. Team created responses to various scenarios involving incoming projectiles and tower line breaches. Kept in constant communication with US Army BDOC and ADOC of VBC AO. Trained Ugandan counterparts in strategy and proper and proficient weapons usage.

Trained as a member of a Marine Corps rifle company. Promoted to E-4 meritoriously before my second year in the Corps. I became a squad leader and was responsible for the well being of my squad. Deployed to Guantanamo Bay and Vieques Puerto Rico as an amphibious task group. I was chosen to participate in UNITAS. As a part of UNITAS I was detached to the USS Portland. The USS Portland deployed to the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Africa. I was able to train with various international military organizations in the Western Hemisphere and Western Africa. I trained with the Royal Marines in Norway during cold weather training. I then deployed on a WESPAC cruise. During this deployment I trained in Okinawa. I trained with the South Korean Marines at their Mountain Warfare School in South Korea. I went through JEST training in the Philippines. I received an honorable discharged and completed my enlistment at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
