Overseeing a broad spectrum of activities pertaining to HSE across the project, ensuring the promotion of a positive health and safety culture in addition to undertaking H&S inspections of QGD-JV labour force and subcontractors.

Ensuring compliance of all works carried out in accordance with the H & S Plan, the Environmental Plan, the WMS and relevant HSE legislation.

Conducting fire risk assessments at site periodically and making provisions for the rectification of any anomalies detected.

Assisting with and delivering safety and environmental toolbox talks to the workforce, ensuring utmost safety at all times and stopping works when there is an immediate hazard to the safety of the workers.

Carrying out near miss, incident and accident investigations, acting as an observer of the works being carried out on site and advising the supervisors and the workforce where risks are apparent.

Ensuring that the production team properly directs and arranges its workforce for safety related works to be carried out.

Coordinating with production team in order to achieve HSE Objectives as well as conducting periodical inspections to verify the availability of evacuation routes and designated safe areas.

Verifying the availability and correct working conditions of the installed or assigned emergency response equipment.

Confirming that all personnel across all work areas know what to do in case of emergency condition and how to evacuate.
