Project coordinator and structural designer for “ Mejdlaya Prison Prototype “ A 50,000 m2 complex that serves as male, female and juvenile prison which includes different types of buildings such as parking, Kitchen, checkpoint, administration, control and guards building, roads, guards towers and external play grounds .
Duties and responsibilities :
- Coordinate with the head of structural design, Senior Engineer “ Mr. Khalife “
- Prepare design criteria’s and Load key plans for each block in compliance with the adopted building codes, then coordinate with the “ Control office “ for their check and approval .
- Prepare different design proposals for specific structural parts of the project then coordinate with the “Contractor Project Manager “for approval.
- Lead, manage and supervise a group of civil engineers during all stages of their work.
- Design and execute all the preliminary structural drawings needed to kick start the modeling phase, then coordinate with the “BIM team “and check their work during all stages.
- Structural design of the various buildings and facilities of the project, and preparation of detailed execution layouts and drawings.
- Provide calculation notes and reports for the main structural components.
- Present the execution file to the “Control office”, and then follow up through calls and meetings until receiving their final approval reports. 6
