PERSONAL STATEMENT
• I have spent 10 months of my Residency managing 7 bedded Respiratory ICU
(RICU) independently along with my faculty, thereby receiving adequate exposure to ICU care, procedural expertise and also in patient & relative counselling.
• Apart from this, I have spent months working in 20 bedded COVID ICUs managing and treating COVID - 19 patients during the first and second waves at the peak of the pandemic in the worst hit city of the country – Pune, Maharashtra. 5
• I have received adequate exposure in ward procedures like thoracocentesis, tube thoracostomy (ICD with/without trocar, pigtail, easy drain, Cook’s catheter), closed blind pleural biopsy – Abram’s needle and also in flexible bronchoscopy for lavage.
• I have a keen interest in being the principal/co-investigator in research activities being undertaken and would also like to contribute in reporting cases/case series.
• Appeared in the DNB Respiratory Medicine Theory Examination – June 2021 session held in August 2021: Result Awaited.
• Areas of interest: Bronchial Asthma, Pleural diseases & interventions, ICU & Critical care, COVID 19, Tuberculosis, ILD, Pulmonary Oncology, Interventional Pulmonology.
