Duties: Executive Assistant to the head of school. Direct the work flow of the office. Compose routine letters, reports, and minutes of meetings, numerical data, tabular charts, forms, and memoranda from verbal and written instructions. Order all material for the school. Receive all tuition payments and process them accordingly. Invoice statements for various items above and beyond tuition. Make bank deposits on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Open, sort and distribute all incoming mail. Interact with parents and public answering all inquiries in writing, by phone and in person. Keep and maintain both employee and student files.
1999 - 2010 – Lansing School District, 519 W. Kalamazoo St., Lansing, Mi 48933 Position: Human Resources Staffing Coordinator/Substitute Teacher Coordinator Duties: Worked with wage and compensation issues for all employees, responsible for facilitating all layoff and displacement procedures when needed within the district. Responsible for staffing and leveling of classrooms to maintain correct teacher/student ratio in each building district wide. Maintain personnel records and data on all district staff as it relates to step increases wages, longevity, co-curricular, overload and mentor pay. Also worked as a liaison with union presidents to maintain relationship with and resolve issues with administration. Hire and oversee 500 substitute teachers for the school district (1999-2008).
