• Implementation and continuity of antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, obstetrical care, management of victims of sexual violence, reproductive tract infections in accordance with MSF Reproductive Care Package of Activities and reinforce the implementation of standard protocols.
• Administer/supervise carrying out of vaccination (VPO/BCG) of new-born and implement PMCT protocols in the ANC/delivery and PNC Constitutions.
• Accessing the referral of pregnant women from the TBAs to the OPD/MCH for observation or complicated deliveries.
• Follow up all new born babies from delivery until discharge enlightening mothers and relatives about the importance of breastmilk.
• Drug supply, administration and monitoring consumption according to prescribed time and consumption control.
• Collaborate with the medical doctor and/or nurse in the management of sexual violence cases.
• Monitor vital signs of every patient according to protocol.
• Proper collection and documentation of data, consumption and drugs inventory.
• Participate in the organization of the ward with collaboration with other midwifes and the maternity ward supervisor. Ensure transfer of relevant information to the next shift team (identifying risk cases).
• Supervise that administrative procedures and hospitalizations comply with MSF protocols as well as verify patients are properly informed and receive the document required (birth cert. vaccination card etc.) Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Focal Person RESPONSIBILITY:
