The last 2 years I was there worked in the Pre-op Department. I

would greet patients as they came in for their prep-op

appointments, and check their information was correct i.e.:

name, dob, and spelling. After that if they had lab or EKG

orders, would put them in the computer, print lab slips and take

them to the back to draw blood and perform EKG. When finished,

would take them to the next available nurse to take their medical

history. In between patients would put charts together, make

phone calls to previous patients to see how they were doing

and various other clerical duties. The previous 10 years I

was in PACU where I worked as unit secretary and Tech.

I have had a job and worked since 1976,when I was

in high school in the Distributive Education program.

My whole working history has been customer

service either in the retail or medical field. That

would be around 39+ years experience. I have run a

cash register, typewriter, 10-key, computer,

switchboard (30+ lines), answering phones,

greeting and helping customers and dealing with

the general public. I have also worked inside sales

in 4 or 5 businesses that deal with building

materials. I've had experience in the billing

department all the way to the front counter as well

as receiving, and payable and receivables. I am a

people person, and I love dealing with the

customers. Customer service type work is all I have

done, it is what I feel like I do well and would like to

continue doing. I would love to be an asset, and have the
