3.0DETAILED WORKING EXPERIENCE
3.1 CALEDONIA MINING CORPERATION (BLANKET MINE)
Mine Captain: 2018 - 2021
Duties and responsibilities included the management of the underground gold ore production, mine development, new projects, mining and equipping of shafts, capital development, management and control of labour, equipment and planning of mining schedules.
Mining method: Sublevel open stopping with the use both conventional and trackless ore handling methods.
Position objective: - to contribute to the safe and cost effective production of at least 700000 tons of gold ore per annum.
3.2 AFRICAN CHROME FIELDS
Mining Superintendent: 2016-2018
Key performance areas include strategic planning, short (including the daily work planning - DWP), medium and long-term planning of equipment, labour planning and mining production.
-Innovations included production, SHE action plans, traffic management plans, tyre management action plans and the overall strategic plans.
-Objectives were to manage the mining schedules at all mining portals, ensure adequate supply of ore to seven processing plants and to safely produce over 13 million tons of alluvial chrome ore per year
3.3 MARANGE RESOURCES LIMITED (ZIMBABWE)
Mine Manager: 2014-2015,
Mining Superintendent: 2013-2014, Shift Boss & SHEQ superintendent: 2012-2013.
The responsibilities were: - mining production, planning and process control. Operations included drilling and blasting, crushing and screening of conglomerate and alluvial ore. Successful projects include the development of a grand materials handling plan which helped to cut hauling costs and the introduction of ripping and dozing as a method of ore generation for the alluvial deposit.
The mine was awarded with the most improved mine in SHE systems and documentation under my guidance.
Objectives and targets were: - to produced over 3 million tons of ore per year
-Ensuring successful crushing and screening to supply quality products to processing plants
-Managing of loading and haul contractors and service providers
-Reclamation, rehabilitation and successful re-vegetation of mined out areas.
3.5 DOROWA MINERALS LIMITED – CHEMPLEX COOPERATION
Open pit Manager: from September 2008 to March 2012.
The function was to run the mine production and planning as well as training of related ISO business systems.
Success points and objectives include:
- Drilling, blasting, loading and hauling of phosphate ore.
-Developing and negotiating of productivity based contracts with service providers
-Developing of mining schedules to create access and mine-ability of whole phosphate deposit.
-Producing over one million tonnes of phosphate ore per annum.
3.6 COAL ZIMBABWE – coal, iron mining and beneficiation industries
Mining Engineer-Operations; 2007-2008, Graduate Trainee; 2004-2006.
Responsibilities were: - planning, drilling and blasting, stripping of coal ore, iron ore mining, reclamation and rehabilitation, crushing, classification and dispatching of products to customers.
Position objectives and targets were:
-Successfully starting up the coal mine,
-Liaising with all stakeholders and representing the mine as the Agent of the company
-Establishing the siting of works plan and successfully implementing it
-Planning, mining, crushing and dispatching the coal to customers and to meet the demand
-Rehabilitating mined out areas to return natural aesthetics of the area
-Ensuring crushed iron ore was delivered in right quantities according to demand.
-Successfully optimizing of the iron ore conveyance down-slope from the uphill pits at the Masvingo iron ore project.
3.8 DERICOS P/L 2003-2004
Responsibilities included analysing and improving the underground mining process as well as cyanidation process. I was responsible of ensuring the success of the Vat Leaching process
Major milestone achieved was the implementation of a paraffin fired activated carbon regenerating kiln.
