After my stint learning and understanding both the Eastern and Southern Africa market, I was promoted to head the Marketing department for the 12 countries in which Kobo was operating in. My work entailed going out to potential agents and markets within Africa, Europe, North and Latin America. Also included attending trade shows with the intent of marketing the product and bringing in business.

5. WORKING HOLIDAY AND SABBATICAL– ZANZIBAR

JANUARY 2013 – DECEMBER 2015

I took a sabbatical and went to Zanzibar, off the East Coast of Tanzania. I worked, for a short stint, with part of the leading hotels of world, The Residence Zanzibar. Once ready, I packed my bags and left to come back home.

6. SAFARI DESIGNER – ELEWANA SKY SAFARI (KENYA AND TANZANIA)

FEBRUARY 2016

February of 2016 saw me approached by Elewana SkySafari department. It was an eye opener as far as the luxury flying-in market and a great way to learn the new ropes and of course, new systems, which has been great so far in taking me to the next level. I learnt all about selling the luxury SkySafari in Kenya and Tanzania.

November 2016 to date – South African Company working remotely – Adventura Africa

I started working with a high-end boutique South African owned company whose focus showcasing exclusive safari hideaways to the discerning traveler. My job as a safari specialist entails sales, marketing and operational planning from beginning to end the safari of a client depending on budget, needs and wants and previous safaris. Focus is on the Eastern and Southern Africa region including and limited to Rwanda and Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana being the main selling points as well as the Eastern Africa region with Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda plus the Indian Ocean Islands.
