Find out defect sustained by the automobile

Diagnose the cause of the malfunctioning

Replace the faulty parts and fix them

Taking readings, using a hand-held device connected to an engine's electronic control unit checking and testing wiring and parts

Using the readings to find faults

Researching faults, using manufacturers' circuit diagrams and specification manuals

Repairing or replacing faulty parts/Modules

Retesting the system to make sure everything is working correctly and safely

Logging all repairs on a digital data system detailing the work you have done
