During my internship I had rotations in Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics and

their allied branches. It provided rich experience in direct patient care and performing certain

number of routine and emergency procedures.

This surgical residency program provides a wide clinical variety of cases, during which I was

exposed to emergency and elective surgical case preparation, ward management,

postoperative Intensive Care Unit and a large number of operative procedures in abdominal,

urological, cardiac, onco & plastic surgery.

During this program I regularly participated in clinical case discussions and presentations, the

journal clubs & seminars.

This residency program provides for theoretical, practical and on-hands training in

neurosurgery. Wide spectrums of cases are referred to this tertiary care hospital. During the

training program emphasis is laid on developing decision making capabilities, acquiring

operative skills and detailed understanding of neurosurgical techniques. I have maintained a

detailed logbook of neurosurgical procedures performed independently as a surgical assistant.

CLINICAL SKILLS:

Operating all head and spinal injuries, spinal fixation, Brain/ Spinal tumors, degenerative spine disease.
