Aerodynamic Analysis of High Speed Flow in Turbine Using Fluent

This project deals with the three dimensional aerodynamic analysis of flow in high speed turbine. A turbine is any kind of spinning device that uses the action of a fluid to extract energy. The turbine used here is a radial flow turbine. A radial turbine is a turbine in which the flow of the working fluid is radial to the shaft. The main purpose of the project is to improve the performance and to prove that the turbine can be used for refrigeration process and power generation.Nitrogen is used as a refrigerant. That is because nitrogen can exist in gaseous state even in high pressure and low temperature. The performance of the turbine is increased by increase in expansion.
