Job Function

+ To deliver every load completely, undamaged, on temperature (If

applicable) and on time and to ensure the safekeeping and cleanliness of

the vehicle, together with equipment, fittings and content.

+ To ensure that loads are secure on the truck prior to moving off.

+ _ Is responsible for the site safety program and ensures that the

environment supports the safety of all employees.

Key performance area

+ To ensure that the loads are loaded in a manner that prevents damage

during transportation, and ensure that any damages incurred prior to

loading or whilst loading are reported and documented.

+ To ensure that the load is loaded in a manner that correctly distribute the

weight on the truck and that the driver is aware of the weight being

loaded.

+ To Ensure that the truck is inspected daily for continued safety and

required maintenance and that the inspection is recorded prior to

departure on the drivers vehicle check list

+ To drive in a safe manner at all times, to wear a seat belt

‘+ Accurate completion of required documentation

+ Ontime deliveries

+ Professional conduct

+ Compliance to Occupational Health, Safety and Security expectation

‘+ May be required to perform yard duties on occasion, such as shunting of

vehicles.
