Some of my responsibilities while working with Julius Berger on the LNG Base Project include

Providing topics for tool box talks and monitor participation of all workers. And all its LTS personnel.

Assist Line Management and supervisors in the presentation of START AND Tool box talks when required.

Carry out incident / accident investigation, and report findings / recommendation to top management for action and implementation.

Provide topics and scenarios for Emergency exercises and communicate learning points to all concerned i.e. project HSE Manager, Line Management and LTS Management.

Improving HSE consciousness amongst all workers and its personnel using standard training aids such as posters and handouts.

Collect and compile HSE performance data and communicate these to the HSE Manager.

Develop and increase the awareness of Line Management and employees on occupational health, safety and environmental hazards and their controls. Ensure that the JSA findings are implemented on the project.

My responsibilities include

Monitoring proper waste disposal procedure in line with laid down procedures of our client.

Ensuring wastes are properly segregated, according to their types.

A provision of new waste bins where there is a need for one. Preparing weekly / monthly Environmental reports to management. And client.

Also ensuring that there are no environmental spills and pollution.

Also ensuring that weekly /monthly fumigation of the work environments and workers camp are carried out as scheduled.

Ensure that the waste Management procedures are followed and records are maintained of disposals.

I am responsible for the day to day running of every HSE related activity in my working location or beat.

Am also responsible in advising Supervisor / Management, in HSE related matters. Prepares and organizes the daily tool box talks, with workers, also responsible for carrying out monthly Emergency drills, and submissions of drills report to my HSE Supervisor.

Carry out investigations on any project related incidents,/ near miss . Finding the root causes and disseminating same to top Management and the rest of the work force.

Ensure the enforcement of use of personal Protective equipment for the job. And any other duties as related to my office.
