Resume:

Amy White

Lewistown, IL *****

************@*****.***

309-***-****

I am a trustworthy 43 year old, with a bubbly personality who is very organized! VERY ORGANIZED! I have a great driving record!

• I have done a variety of jobs, from telemarketing ( at APAC in Canton IL back in the late 90's)

• I have done commercial cleaning for office buildings.

• Fast food, register, at dairy queen, & took phone orders for the kitchen.

• Cashier at a grocery store Hy-Vee.

• Cashier, & took messages for kitchen food orders, messages for my manager, at Casey's general store. I opened and ran the store by myself for 2 hrs until my manager came in.

• Cashier at farm king!

• Bartending, hostess & waitressing at boss hoggs bar and restaurant.

• Subbing for Canton school district as a reading aide & teachers assisant. I was a one on one aide for a year for my son, until they could find someone qualified for his health issues. Once they found someone I subbed at all 3 grade schools for Canton school district 66.

• Which eventually lead to a parent coordinator position at Lincoln elementary school grades k- 4th.

• Personal Care Assistant though DHS-ORS the disabled and . I have experienced general home health care, such as shopping, laundry, cooking, cleaning, and bathing/dressing and hygiene of the clients, helping with bills and finances, dispensing medications, calling the doctors, insurance companies.

Most of the last 15 years I have worked 2 sometimes 3 jobs at a time. So if you look at the dates and are confused because the dates overlap that is why.. plus most of them have been interacting with the public! I worked for DHS for 19 years, but also worked a variety of other jobs throughout that time. My assessments taken on this site show that phone customer service and accurate data entry are my strong skills.

After many years of being hard on my body, lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling and standing on my feet for long periods of time, I now have some health issues! Starting with, 2 total knee replacements. The left one is not 100%! I am not able to get on my knees at all! Soriatic arthritis, Rumatoid Arthritis

& osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease, & bone spears starting in my neck and shoulders down my entire spine! But, I have to find a job! I am most comfortable and familiar with healthcare, customer service, Or paperwork and answering phones! That is where I am most comfortable and confident!

But, I am always up for a new challenge! I do have over 25 years experience in customer service from several different jobs.

Standing in one place for a long time without moving that is when my back hurts & my left knee buckles and is painful.

Yes I have applied for disability, but I was denied. While acknowledging I am disabled somewhat physically, I do not meet the states criteria for disability. They said I am able find a less labor intensive job such as a desk job. Which would be awsome, but every single job needs widows 10 or Microsoft office 365 or both or some other software experience that I do not have. I know some and am more than willing to learn! But, i am not a computer wiz. by any means! Just want to be honest.

I need someone who is willing to give me a chance to learn and teach me! I know pretty much everything you can do from a smart phone maybe a little more. I just got a laptop with windows 10, and office 365 so I can familiarize myself with the programs. I NEED to work but i am not as able to do the lifting, or being on my knees like I use to. I am looking for something that is up and down, or a sitting job. I am very organized, good at customer service, entering data, returning phone calls (I have a pleasent customer service voice) & filing paperwork organized and efficiently. I am looking for something where I am up and down between sitting, walking, and not a lot of lifting. Maybe a customer service job, or possibly a sales job working on the phone.

I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY and all opportunities THAT I AM PHYSICALLY ABLE TO DO! ANYTHING AT THIS POINT WOULD HELP!

Thank you very much for taking the time to read about me, get to know me and my situation! I just need a chance to prove myself.

I do live in a rural area so I know that I am going to have to drive 45 to 60 minutes to work. I have lived in Lewistown all my life so this is the normal for me. Authorized to work in the US for any employer

Work Experience

Personal Assistant/Caregiver

DHS Home Services program - Macomb, IL

July 2001 to August 2021

I Helped the disabled with bathing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, medication dispensing, paying bills & other everyday activities. I worked this job for the last 19 years. 1 of those years I also worked for Canton school district first, as a personal aide to a disabled child. Then as a reading aide/ teachers assisant for all 3 grade schools subbing (as an aide in these 3 areas). In 2006 I was offered a salary job as a parent coordinator at Lincoln elementary school which I excepted. I was required to Obtained para pro certification in 2006. My terminally ill childs' (who passed away in 2015 from heart and lung failure) health required me to spend more time at home in 2008, so I gave this job up after 2 years as the parent coordinator. Later, I started working (5 years) part time at Casey's general store in Lewistown. I continued to work for DHS-Home Services program full time (2001-2020) as well for the insurance. I then picked up an additional job waitressing/ hostess just 2 -3 evenings on weekends at boss Hogg's restaurant in banner IL from 2010 -20011.

So 3 jobs at once for a little while!

Most recently I started working for a commercial cleaning company called clean impact, but this was only a temporary job as long as the need was there. I was laid off in March. May, 5 i started working for community action partnerships as a LIRPP/LIHEAP data Intake Coordinator. It was so much more than just inputting data! after a week they fired me and said i wasn't catching on, wasn't learning fast enough with everything.
