WORK SKILLS:

RESPONSIBILITIES DURING MAINTENANCE

Conduct all planned and unplanned emergency maintenance activities.

Execution of shutdown and major overhauling maintenance activities in pumps, compressor and steam turbine etc. as per Operating manual (IOM).

Worked in fire water system, diesel engine maintenance by safe guarding system after conducting the Risk assessment.

Performing Condition Monitoring of Rotating equipment and advises on the maintenance schedule based on the analysis (Trouble shooting).

RESPONSIBILITIES DURING COMMISSIONING AND START-UP

Perform and preparation of all the commissioning activities and start-up of Process and Utility systems..

Walkdown systems using P&ID's and PFD's.

Preparation of punch list and create accurate report with and clear the punches as per Clint requirements.

Alignment of rotating equipment such as Pump, compressor, gearbox by reverse dial and Rim & Race method.

Follow the OTP (Operation Test Procedure) and execute MRT (Mechanical Run Test) to prove the equipment performance.

Dynamic commissioning of main oil pump, lean amine pump and rotary pumps.

Auxiliary systems Lube oil flushing of the compressors and Turbines.

Perform flushing by proper flushing procedures.

START-UP activities of Rotating equipments.

Follow Permit To Work system

Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) process and review conclusions.

Knowledge of Occupational hazards, standard safety procedures and Safe work practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN IN ONGC

Routine checks of wellhead platform and regular wellhead checks.

Checking and operation of Christmas tree valves.

Routine checks of Christmas tree valves.

Functional leak test of SSV, SSSV and Christmas tree valves.

Regular checks of annulus pressure and bleed off if necessary, fusible plug leak check.

Routine checks of wellhead control panel board operations.

Having relevant experience in Preventive, overhauling & troubleshooting of Single & multistage Centrifugal pumps, Sundyne pumps, Sealless pumps, Fire water pumps, and positive displacement pumps.

Obtaining a complete checklist of the dismantled equipment and keep a record of the same.

Finding root cause failure analysis.

Inspect the condition of rotating parts namely shaft, sleeve, impeller, oil deflectors, wear rings, bearings, coupling and stationary parts such as casing stuffing box, and bearing housing.

Renewal/replacement of mechanical seals.

Hydro test of pumps to determine mechanical seal and casing leaks.

Having overhauling experience in high speed Sundyne pumps, Sealless pumps, oil clarifier pumps.

(Weir Gabionade, Sulzer, Flowserve, Sundyne, Patterson etc.)

RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of compressor.

Replacing cylinder liner, piston rings, guide rings, primary, intermediate & rod packing, wiper rings using special tools.

Regular checking of TDC and BDC clearance and adjusting the clearances.

Replacing main bearings and connecting rod bearings as per if the clearance exceeds or vibration obtained.

Checking crank shaft web deflection, piston rod alignment, and all clearance as per operating manual.

Refurbishment of suction and discharge valves.

Function checking of unloaded device.
