Work Experience:

● Microwave:

I achieved a Certification from the Telecommunications Federal Agency for a proprietary Software tool (EMILINK) for point to point microwave links interference analysis that has been used by a Coordinator Company in all Mexico (SCINTELSA) approved by IFT since 2002. This tool allows you to calculate interference signal levels and availability to know if a new point to point microwave link is allowed to be installed or needs to be re-configured for a better compatibility. More than 30,000 non interference certificates have been delivered to our carrier customers (ATT, America Movil, Alestra – Axtel, Telmex, Maxcom, etc).

I have designed and deployed microwave links using EMILINK and Pathloss for all carriers. I have achieved Laboratory tests over several microwave brands in order to certificate main parameters of operation: bandwidths, interference thresholds, transmission power, emission masks, receiver thresholds, capacity, etc. and then got the Certification of microwave equipment with telecommunication labs.

Deployment of microwave radios in several frequency bands: 2.4 GHz, 7 GHz, 15 GHz, 23 GHz and 38 GHz for different configurations: indoor – outdoor and all indoor for main carriers.

Frequency hunting of microwave interference signals using spectrum analyzers, LNA, filters, jumpers and horn antennas specified for the proper band.

● RF:

Optimization and design of cellular networks using Atoll planning tools. Troubleshooting of GSM, CDMA, UMTS and LTE sites in 700 MHz, 800 MHz, AWS, 1900 MHz, 2500 MHz. Optimization for multiband with ALCATEL, Ericsson and Samsung. Use of traffic and propagation models to predict coverage and performance. Troubleshoot of cellular networks (Sprint, MetroPCS, Red Compartida). Im able to identify different kinds of base band and rf modules and how this equipment interconnected for commissioning and troubleshooting purposes, for example: TMA’s, RETs, get signal levels as RSSI, RTWP, identify cross sectors and other issues. I have been working also with call testing, data speed testing and E911 and the installation and provision of Cell Site Router (CSR)

Drive testing for optimization purposes for different cellular operators in Mexico and USA. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Frequency hunting in cellular bands using spectrum analyzers, LNA, filters, jumpers and Yagi antennas specified for the proper band with triangulation methods to find the source of the interference.

Indoor and outdoor cellular signal measurements and quality tests. Nokia Bell Labs End to End 5G Foundation Certification SAMSUNG, MÉXICO

● Improved and optimized performance of Red Compartida Cellular Network as 2nd level support for LTE. Experience with Nokia and Huawei Microwave and BTS 4G equipment: Cloud and S/D RAN configurations. Backbone and backhaul troubleshooting using fiber optics and microwave. Analisys of Performance KPIs. ERICSSON, MÉXICO

Telecommunications Support Engineer

May 2012 – Feb 2016

● Improved and optimized performance of Sprint Cellular Network as 1st and 2nd level support.

● Troubleshooting for RAN LTE and CDMA (Sprint). LTE eNB integration for Sprint.

● 1st level support for a Cellular Network in the United States (MetroPCS) from Mexico (NOC). CDMA, EVDO and LTE Technologies including environmental alarms, backhaul and routers.

● 1st level support for a Cellular Network in the United States (Cricket) from Mexico (NOC). The cellular Network has CDMA and EVDO Technologies. I used tools for monitoring and for open tickets as Netcool. I needed to test alarms with the Switch Engineers in order to set up the proper behavior and advise of each alarm.

● I developed with team-mates a new format for the physical and logical integration of UMTS nodes via microwaves for Movistar Mexico. I also participated in the Proposal for Nextel – Televisa for the 3G auction for Mexico and Brazil in the area of microwave transmission.

● commission and integrate Ericsson equipment with no supervision

● Trainer for new members of the team.

ZTE, MÉXICO

Telecommunications Support Engineer

Oct 2010 - April 2012

● Achieved Certification of ZTE MicroWave Radio with Telcel in the licensed Curriculum Vitae (CV)

frequency bands (7, 15, 23 and 38 GHz).

Achieved the best score from Telcel LTE trial Project for the deployment, debugging and trouble shooting of eNBs and CN (MME and O&AM). Also I gave support to the Mediation Project that consists in a system in between Network Elements with information of calls (voice and data) and the BSS/OSS. I also worked with Telcel to calculate Satellite Traffic for remote BTS using the SMART System. After I got the traffic in Erlangs for voice I needed to convert it to kbps and add the result to the data traffic. This result was compared to the reported traffic of the Satellite service provider with very good results.

● Trainer for new members of the team.

OSTEC, SA DE CV

Consultant

Jan 2010 - Sept 2010

● We developed a format for the physical and logical integration of UMTS nodes via Microwaves point to point links for Movistar Mexico. I also participated in the Proposal for Nextel & Televisa for the 3G auction for Mexico and Brazil in the area of Microwave transmission

Achieved carrier Certification for the BSSB ZTE CDMA equipment in 450 MHz, including CBTS I2, BTS O1 and Micro BTS for Telmex. These tests consisted in performing lab measurements and show to Telmex Engineers the results according to some protocols to verify the match between the telecommunication equipment and Telmex Network fulfilling all of the customers’ specifications. This required coordination with ZTE partner, ALU s people, providers and Telmex.
