Corporate Recruiter

Deloitte (Deloitte)

2901 N Central Ave

Ste. 1200

Phoenix, AZ 85012 ·

RE: Summary of Skillsets and Experience Sourcing and Procurement Operations Senior Manager (SPOS) Position; Job #:

Dear Recruiter,

My name is Isaiah Victor Brown and I believe my Skill Sets, Experience and Attitude would be of great benefit to Deloitte. I have eight (8) years of Distribution Leadership experience as a former Supply Officer (1st Lieutenant/GS-9) of the United States Marine Corp and as a Section Manager within Hallmark Cards Liberty Distribution Center. During my tenure at Hallmark Cards Liberty Distribution Center, I was a member of a Project Team, which analyzed all processes within the distribution process and made recommendation to streamline Distribution Center processes and eliminate redundant procedures; for which the Project Team was commend for its performance/results. Furthermore, I possess an additional eighteen (18) years of Supply Chain Management/Operations Leadership experience. During the aforementioned period, I was a Key Player in drafting Corporate-wide Procurement Policy and Procedures. In 2002, I was a Lead Corporate Contract Negotiator (Lead Negotiator/Senior Negotiator) for Aquila, Inc., a multi-national, Gas-Electric Utility, Fortune 500 Company.

As stated in my Résumé, prior to joining Aquila, I have had diverse managerial responsibilities across a broad array of prestigious private sector corporations and the military. Therefore, when I was subsequently hired by Aquila, I not only performed the customary Negotiator/ IT Procurement Specialist duties, but absorbed high-level responsibilities which included analysis of the applicable Business Unit Processes/Corporate Structure to insure there weren’t any inherent glitches in the aforementioned Business Unit Processes/Corporate Structure, which could adversely affect the success of the Acquisition/Project. Much of the aforementioned interface took place between Directors, Executives, Senior Executives, and me. Furthermore, I interfaced regularly with Legal Counsel, at times revising the Attorney’s proposed legal revisions to more accurately address the Business/Technical Requirements. My performance in the areas of Purchasing, Contract Administration; Business Analysis; and Legal Analysis, was so exemplary that it established the benchmark for a new position within Aquila; “Lead Corporate Contract Negotiator” (a Position which was above the Managerial Level and below the Position of Director). Additionally, my Business/Legal Analysis Skills are so exemplary that I have been permitted to review, revise, negotiate, and accept Legal and Business terms and conditions without Attorney review!

As I have previously stated, the majority of my software purchases/projects are significant, otherwise I would have delegated them to a Negotiator (IT Procurement Specialist). One of my software purchases consisted of a World-wide Enterprise License Agreement between a Corporation and a Fortune 500 Software Corporation, the scope of the License Agreement included Affiliates located in five (5) Countries and on three (3) Continents. During the negotiations, I interacted with the Software Corporation, its Value Added Reseller (VAR), and the Chief Information Officers and/or their designates of the aforementioned Affiliates. There were substantial Cost Savings recognized from the Project for which, I received Kudos directly from several CIO’s, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, I have proposed Corporate-wide Processes, Procedures, and Organizational Structures, which have been implemented by Executives and Senior Executives.

Furthermore, during my tenure at Sprint, as Manager of Corporate Agreements I supervised a team of 8 to 12 Contract Negotiators (Exempt; Salaried) and 3 to 5 Agreement Coordinators (Non-Exempt; Hourly) in maintaining a full spectrum of contract activity for diverse commodity areas (“Cradle to Grave”). As the Operations Officer of Marine Corps Recruiting Station – Kansas City, I supervised the Recruiting Activities of four (4) Recruiting Supervisors and thirty (30) Recruiters strategically and remotely located throughout the Kansas/Colorado Border and Columbia, Missouri region. As USMC Supply Officer of MSSG-22, I supervised two (2) SNCO’s and twenty-one Marines; a total of 23 Marines in the daily execution of supply support for Marine Amphibious Unit.

As stated in the previous paragraphs, I’ve acquired extensive Analytical/Problem Solving Skills, which I believe would be specifically applicable to the (SPOS) Position. Furthermore, throughout my career, I’ve been immersed daily in activities which require my continuous reflection on Laws, Regulations, Contract Terms, Policies, Procedures and Guide Lines to ensure my and my Team’s actions are compliant with the aforementioned Laws, Regulations, Contract Terms, Policies, Procedures, and Guide Lines as they pertain to corresponding Sourcing, Distribution, and Legal activities. I believe my Skill Sets and Experience would be specifically applicable to the (SPOS) Position and of value to Deloitte.

I could make myself available for an on-site interview. I am looking forward to meeting with you to discuss any opportunities. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss in detail how my Skill Sets may be of benefit to you. I hope to hear from Deloitte in the near future.

Sincerely,

Isaiah V. Brown
