Roles and responsibility
The following tools were used at ADP (TSO, VSAM, ISPF/SDSF, CONTROL-M SCHEDULER, COBOL/COBOL II, IDMS, ADSO, DB2, SQL, QMF, CICS, JCL, PROC's, FTP, NETS, Expeditor, ChangeMan, Panvalet, VSAM and flat files).
In the Quarter tax development (QTRTAX) group my responsibilities on a daily basis was to work with a scrum team to maintain applications, develop, enhance systems requiring changes, answer questions related to QTRTAX group from user's and other members in IT, help less experienced developers, on-call support, answer questions and lead team members in ADP India, attend meetings, liaison for user's needing information, answer questions from team members or user's, mentor less experienced developers, feasibility studies, and fine tuning access to DB2 tables in applications.
Major role for our team in India and Pasadena was to insure QTR processing was completed daily and all 750,000 clients processed within the 7 week processing window. Clients sent in their quarter figures and formatted to ADP's format then Capturing, Balancing, and creating Financial Adjustments to our system, generate filings for State, and local agencies across the US, and update databases for online access to inform our users and clients of this information being complete and filed to the agencies.
Due to my diligence and hard work I was the go to person for the QTR Tax Development group within 6 months of being hired and maintained and strengthened that role for 22 years. Due to my experience in the group my manager asked me to go to India and train a group of 35 employees for seven weeks.
Designed and developed the first product using DB2 at ADP working with a Data Base Architect and
a DBA we built the core tables for the company and we started the development for our first monthly
system reporting taxes collected to the state of Indiana.

was enjoyable and liked the work and caught on quickly. I want to document the system since know
one had done so others could understand and follow.

Title: Contract role as Programmer Analyst
Duties: Maintained the retail price change system for Vons in a contract role for a six months to help
get prince changes to Vons stores. The position was very challenging since I only had some class and
did very well. After the contract was up they wanted to hire me full time but already lined up a position
with Certified Grocers.
