OBJECTIVE
I am looking to continue using my office/clerical skills. I have 40 years of clerical experience.
I retired January 31, 2020. I am looking for a job in an office environment that keeps me busy and useful. My last position was for the Department of Homeland Security in the detainment of the refugees from other countries. The job was facilitated by Corecivic (prisons). The facility housed the mothers and their children until they were given asylum or returned to their country.

I began as Administrative Clerk and ended as Secretary to Unit Manager
Microsoft Office, monthly and weekly reports, meeting minutes, creating forms as needed, inventory, ordering supplies, mail and packages. Mentored and trained new clerks for the facility. I worked with QA and learned to update and monitor policy manuals. I kept Post Order binders updated with new Policy or procedures. I worked in the Segregation Unit, the High Custody Unit, and also the General Population Housing Units.
Moved to Texas with promotion to work as HR Assistant. Due to short staffing I worked in Payroll. Went back to Admin Clerk 7 months later. Moved to Admin Clerk and Secretary for the Chief of Unit Management. I had 5 housing units that I was responsible to help with any clerical needs. I had the updating of schedules for each of the 5 housing units. I had 13 years, full time work, and I loved my job.
