SUMMARY

I am an experienced Program Assistant (Admin & Programmic), Outreach Worker and Area Coordinator with a wealth of experience in HIV/AIDS care, support and prevention programs. I have worked with quite a number of programs with South Africa Partners and have also been actively involved in HIV/AIDS activism. I have two years’ experience in field work at the Correctional Facilities where I implement a prevention Programme in HIV, STI’s, Hepatitis B and Human Papilloma Virus for both inmates and officials. I hold a Secretarial Course certificate and other skills building workshops regarding MSM (Men having Sex with Men) and HIV Counselling and Testing. I have considerable experience in Admin, Filing, and Handling of office funds, Procurement, HR, and Finance Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination of HIV Prevention Activities

Collect and distribute documentation to ACs;

Plan with ACs and DCS Area Managers and Operational Managers the implementation of program activities;

Assist with the development, coordination, and implementation of Stigma Reduction interventions;

Maintain good working relations with DCS Management Area staff, offenders, and other partner NGOs and CBOs;

Collaborate with ACs to support DCS Community Corrections on the implementation of activities targeting parolees and their families within the DCS Region;

Supervise and mentor M&E Assistants by providing clear strategic direction, input and feedback;

Represent the organisation and participate in Management Area and Regional Meetings.

Supervision and Mentoring

Conduct supervisory and support visits with ACs, Prevention Support Counsellors (PSCs) and Linkage Officers;

Provide mentorship for ACs;

Conduct monthly debriefing sessions with ACs, PSC and Linkage officers.

Training

Provide logistical support for all training program activities;

Facilitate/co-facilitate training as needed;

Acquire and maintain all necessary training documentation and related materials;

Identify areas for improving the use of training materials and curriculum;

Collect and submit data related to training services and other related services;

Provide mentor support to trainers trained on Training of Trainers (TOTs).

Monitoring and Evaluation

Responsible for implementation of quality assurance and improvement activities and data management in regions and on sites through supervision of ACs at local level;

Develop, monitor and review programme performance activities and components; including the use of dashboards to monitor indicator performance

Capture and Submit monitoring and evaluation data collection tools to the M&E Partners and staff.

Report Writing

Compile and submit reports to the National Program Manager;

Submit monthly work plan and budget for projected activities to the National Program Manager;

Collate reports for weekly/bi-weekly reporting;

Submit quarterly activity reports to the Regional office and PM;

Keep log forms for travel and submits claims and expense reports;

Develop presentations for various reports and meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

Post-matric qualification in health/similar field or similar experience/qualification;

Experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and human rights is recommended and would be an advantage;

Experience in HIV Testing Services (HTS), Index and Recency testing;

Experience in working with various key population groups.

Familiar with USG/CDC/USAID Programmes;

Experience working independently and in a team;

Exceptional time management skills;

Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
