Desktop Support Administrator:

Contracted to provide level 2 IT assistance to the desktop support team.

Provided level 2 and 3 onsite and remote support to 150+ employees, at three sites around the greater L.A. area (the corporate offices and quality assurance labs in Burbank, the product distribution center in Pacoima, the research and development facilities in San Pedro).

Maintained on-call remote support for NBI field sales reps, from initial phone contact to successful resolution.

Supported a number of Apple computers, including Mac Mini and iMac desktops. Installed Oracle VirtualBox to create Windows 8.1 virtual desktops, as needed. MacBook Pro laptops were used by specific VIPs (corporate and department leaders), as requested. Time Machine and local storage provided incremental backups for these users.

Ordered and supported Apple iPhones, iPads and MiFi hotspot devices for onboarding NBI field sales reps.

During the first week, 400 new HP EliteBook 6930p - Windows 7 laptops arrived, to be reconfigured for distribution at a corporate field sales meeting the following week in Florida. Using an existing desktop PC, a new Windows 2008 imaging server and PXE boot environment was built. Deployed with WinPE bootable flash drives, 300 Windows 8.1 laptops, with Office 2016, were completed and shipped overnight via FedEx, arriving on time. This imaging solution became the NBI corporate SOP, configured and managed remotely by me, and distributed to all NBI satellite offices within the U.S.

Following the acquisition of NBI by J.M. Smucker, the NBI product distribution center in Pacoima was closed. All network equipment and servers were shut down and moved to Burbank. Most legacy desktop PCs received a DoD compliant HDD wipe and were recycled (e-waste).

Managed the build out of new office space for Pacoima staff moving to Burbank, including all new cat6 cabling and a remote datacenter (IDF) to communicate with the existing datacenter (MDF) across town at NBI Corporate.

Presented with the "Commitment to Excellence" award for devotion to customer service and support.
