I am currently working under Process/Production department at Dangote Cement Plant.
My responsibilities include,
Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operations,
employees safety and compliance with prescribed standards and environmental regulations.
Ensure all production equipments are operated in accordance with standard operating procedures
and safety guidelines.
Log in process data sheets at specified intervals, document and report operational activities
accordingly.
Ensure smooth operations of Crushers, Raw Mills, Kiln and Cement Mills by providing constant
feedback and relevance guidance to patrollers, machine operators and process engineers in
execution of field work.
Inform field Attendants and Operators of failures, potential failures or trouble spots and provide
direction for problem solving.
Diagnose and trouble shoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with Shift
Coordinators, Engineers and Section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary
to ensure production resumes.
Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement
based on leading practices.
Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyor belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming.
Ensure machine operators wear appropriate safety gears during operations.
Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift.
Prepare detailed shift reports for the attention of the Section Head.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Section Head.
Monitor and control water quality and water treatment plant process.
Water Demineralization Plant Operator/Chemist
Thermax Zambia Limited, Contracting Company for Dangote Cement Zambia Limited - March to
October 2018.
Responsibilities include,
Supervise effective maintenance of all water purifying equipments in Plant.
Monitor and control all sections of Water Demineralization Plant equipments to insure stable
equipment operation, employee’s safety and compliance with prescribed standards and
environmental regulations.
Monitor Effluent Plant with prescribed environmental regulations.

Carry out all water analysis and preparing standard solutions
Maintain and update accurate records for treatment process

Responsibilities,
Monitor Process plant operation and general management to ensure attaining of production
targets.
Focus on Advance Copper generation, Spent Copper, free acid in both Advance and Spent,
raffinate and organic management, entrainment both in raffinate and Advance.
Monitor Agitation Leaching by controlling Leach densities, pH via instrumentation pH
probes, Leach efficiency and acid consumption.
Monitor Counter Current Decantation generation of pregnant copper solution by controlling
wash efficiency, flocculation/dossing, underflow densities and thickener pulling rates,
raffinate wash and residual copper tails.
Clarification of pregnant copper solution through counter current decantation and solvent
extraction plant.
Crud management, organic recovery, extraction efficiencies, SX copper transfer to tank
houses.
Monitoring shorts and correction in order to push up for current efficiency.
