Lead individual therapy using MI, CPT, ACT and mindfulness techniques. Co-lead CPT groups and provided individual face-to-face CPT for patients. I was the first intern to successfully use Tele Mental Health to complete CPT therapy with a patient. Trained in CPT and in writing clinical notes, discharge, and treatment care plans. Provided a community project on transgender black women's empowerment in therapeutic settings. Specifically, the VA therapeutic setting.

My role on the Transgender Health Team has been very unique because it has been a role in constant development and expansion. I am the first point of contact, answering phone calls, administration work, case management, patient visits, advocacy, referrals, community outreach, appointments, internal and external education, volunteering with SOGI Committee, complaint resolution, patient education seminars the Utah Pride Center, podcasts and other media awareness for the program. The role will eventually include biopsychosocial assessments as well as short-term therapy.
