I started working at the Durban Child Care Centre in 2015 while was doing my second year at the Durban University of Technology. I was appointed there for eight months to gain work experience and to experience being in the life space of a child/ young person. I learnt the skill of repot writing, organizing and supervising Group activities/ sports and recreation planning/conducting programs focused on specific needs of young people, in the eighth month I was assessed and my practical’s ended.

I started working at the Westville Correctional Services female section as part of my work experience for my third year I facilitated programmes for young people who were awaiting trial, this programme assisted young people to see purpose in their lives, do goal setting activities and identifying their strengths and talents. I organized and supervised all their group activities, presentations and sports activities.

In 2017 I then got a job as cashier/beauty consultant at Truworths. I promoted and sold Estee lauder skin care products and make up, I offered personalized customer service, managed records, reports and made sure I meet the sales target at the end of every month.

In 2017 while working at Truworths I got an opportunity to do voluntary work as an admin assistant at the Department of Education. I then started to work at Truworths as a Cashier/Beauty Consultant and Weekends and as a Voluntary admin assistant from Monday to Friday at The Department of Education UMgungundlovu District office my duties were general administration like typing, filling and general office procurement.

In August 2018 I was appointed as an Intern at The Co-Curricular Services Directorate with three sub directorates (In School Sport, Arts and Culture and Youth Development) in this post I contribute positively in the Youth development projects, I Provide administrative assistance to District Coordinators in the Implementation of projects and activities in their places of operation and Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager by being involved in the Planning, management, co-ordination of events, projects, meetings, Activities and workshops pertaining to the Youth Development and Gender Equality, Sports and Arts and Culture.
