After doing my MBBS from Ameeruddin medical college Lahore, a public sector medical college, in 2020, I have done my house job in Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology and Radiology in Punjab Rangers’ Teaching Hospital.

I have a distinguished educational record. I got A+ grade in matric and FSc. and was selected in public sector medical college in first attempt.

I have cleared all my professional examinations in first division and first attempt.

EXPERIENCE

House Officer in Medicine Department in PRTH

I have performed my duties as a House Officer in Medicine Department, Punjab Rangers’ Teaching Hospital. Punjab Rangers’ Teaching Hospital is a 550 bedded tertiary care hospital which caters for patients from all over Punjab. It is attached with Rahbar Medical and Dental College affiliated with University of Health sciences, Lahore and recognized by PMC and CPSP for Post-graduate training. The Department of Medicine has 200 beds and is well-equipped with ICU, CCU and ITC. It has a full-fledged Dialysis room with full time dialysis facility. The Gastroenterology Department consists of facilities for Upper and Lower GI endoscopies; headed by Senior Gastroenterologist. I have worked as a fulltime residential House Officer, involving care of inpatients, outpatients and emergency department. During my stay I have conducted all indoor rounds and learned management of basic medical emergencies. I have also learned procedures as IV cannulation, NG and Foleys insertion and ascitic and pleural tap, Lumbar puncture and liver biopsy. I have also observed upper and lower GI endoscopies and their associated therapeutic procedures. I have learned CPR and attended BLS workshop held at PRTH.

House Officer in Radiology Department in PRTH

Radiology Department is equipped with Digital X-rays, 64 slice CT scanner and 1.5 Tesla MRI. This Department also utilizes colour Doppler ultrasound facility. I have worked as an on-call House Officer in Radiology Department. I learned basic ultrasonography (including Trans-Vaginal Ultrasound) and interpretation of X-rays, fluoroscopic and CT-scan images. I have also had the opportunity to assist in interventions procedures as ultrasound guided FNAC, Ascitic Tap, Pleural Tap and Biopsies.

House Officer in Surgery Department in PRTH

The Department of Surgery is well established with ICU and ITC and state of the art operation Theatre. It has facilities for both open and laparoscopic surgical procedures. I have performed my duties as a residential House Officer in Surgery Department. During my stay, I learned basic surgical techniques and procedures and basic management and care of surgical patients. I have performed minor surgical procedures under supervision like proctoscopy, ASD and POP application. I have assisted in major procedures as appendectomy, hernia repair, thyroid and breast surgery and laparoscopic surgery.

The Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics is also recognized by CPSP for FCPS training. All different gynaecological procedures are routinely carried out. I have worked as a residential house officer in department of gynaecology and Obstetrics. I have assisted in several C-sections, various gynaecological surgeries, D&C procedures and performed SVDs under supervision.
