Finance Manager

My role as a finance manager is mainly supervisory in nature with oversight responsibility for the accounts department. I have seven staff under my supervision. Key roles:

Develop and administer annual budget for the entire organization and department.

Track revenue generation, budget and expenses (budget control) at the head office and all our field offices.

Administer payroll management for over one thousand two hundred staff of the organization.

Finance Coordinator

Responsible for monitoring/auditing, managing the assessment, disbursement processes,financial accounting and reporting of national education coalitions of the Civil Society Education Fund Project (Global Partnership for Education Funded Project) in Western and Eastern Africa by, ensuring timeliness, quality and accuracy of financial information produced by countries. Carry out on the field visits (Kenya, Cameroun, Sierra Leone, Togo, Somaliland and Ghana) to review coalitions financial systems and activities and financial assessments.

Prepare financial reports to donors and for analysis purposes on quarterly basis using NAVISION.

Consolidate country monitoring reports and agreed actions and follow up with the accountants at the coalitions to ensure issues identified are addressed.

Provide capacity building support to the coalitions generally.

Follow-up of internal and external audit recommendations as they relate to good coalition management.

Consolidate recommendations/actions/responsibility from internal and external audits as they relate to coalitions management.

Conduct bank reconciliation for the RFMA projects bank account.

Conduct month end closure activities such as general ledger reconciliations, receivables & payables.

Review Coalitions postings in accounting software to ensure correct postings of transactions and integrity of data.

Support Regional Funds Management Agent (RFMA) secretariat in communicating on issues with the national coalitions.
