Pauline Mulashi Biola is a professional nurse (SANC registration: 2008 and Post Graduate in Business Management Advance Program in 2014), with over 15 years of experience as a training nursing sister, operations manager for voluntary medical male circumcision

(VMMC), phlebotomist, master VMMC trainer and quality assurance (QA) specialist for VMMC. She has also facilitated and trained VMMC sites as a moderator for the USAID led Online Training Hub within the circumcision programme. Since 2018, she has worked, firstly for the Aurum Institute as a QA assurance manager across a number of projects (assurance of quality of care and regulatory procedures (in South Africa and Eswatini), supporting the Eswatini HIV Prevention and Clinical Services (EHPCS) project funded by EGPAF and USAID. She provided QA and CQI coaching and mentoring within 7 VMMC facilities in the Hhohho and Shiselweni regions in the north and south of Eswatini. In May 2020, sister Biola re-joined again University Research Co., LLC (URC) but this time to work in a CDC-funded Optimizing Performance by Improving Quality (OPIQ) project which focuses on HIV and HIV/TB Programs in the Republic of South Africa. This project had a purpose of providing a technical support to national and local level governmental and non- governmental implementing partners on quality improvement (QI) and quality assurance

(QA) tools and approaches, with focus on the 27 highest burden districts and priority populations for prevention and care. Sister Biola was able to surpass the expected objectives and goals, she brought changes at different level of the project by supporting the Bojanala district in Rustenburg. Which also resulted in writing a case study for the organization regarding filing measurement activity as one the lesson learns and best practice.
